For veterinary use, we recommend Myristin be given on a weight basis for up to 8 weeks with 2 Myrist-Aid capsules per Myristin capsule as a synergist. The following is recommended Weight Range up to 40 lbs = 1-2 capsules daily 41 to 100 lbs = 2-3 capsules daily 101 to 200 lbs = 3 capsules daily For larger animals, such as horses, we recommend 6 Myristin capsules daily for up to 8 weeks. Two or three Myristin-Aid capsules are recommended per Myristin capsule. If Myrist-Aid is not used, one lipase enzyme capsule should be given per Myristin capsule. Capsules may be opened and the contents placed on the food if the owner cannot administer the capsules directly. If two Myristin capsules are the daily dose, they may be given at the same time if the owner prefers. If three Myristin capsules is the daily dose, it is recommended that one amount be given in the AM and the remainder in the pm If there are no results after 2 months of Myristin, additional courses would not be expected to produce results. Some animals may achieve satisfactory results or better but may need to take a maintenance course, the needs for which may vary widely. For example, an animal weighing 100 lbs could need one Myristin capsule every other day, while another of the same weight may need one daily. Most animals do not require this once satisfactory results are achieved with the supplement, however, horses seem to need a maintenance program more so than other animals.
